Terms of Service

Effective Date: 2 April 2026


1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Dog Breeder Pro B.V. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for the use of Dog Breeder Pro and Cat Breeder Pro (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account, downloading our mobile applications, or using the Services in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please do not use the Services.

These Terms apply whether you access the Services through the web (via browser), iOS (via Apple App Store), or Android (via Google Play Store).

The Services are operated by Dog Breeder Pro B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands.

3. What the Services Provide

Our Services are cloud-based software designed to help breeders manage their breeding programs, records, and communications. Our web platform (dogbreederpro.com) is the primary application. Our iOS and Android mobile apps are companion applications designed to support and extend the web platform’s functionality while on the go. Subscription management and payment processing take place on the web platform.

Core features include managing pedigree records and lineage, tracking litters and offspring, maintaining health documentation and DNA test results, recording color genetics and breed information, storing contacts (buyers, co-owners, vets, and other people related to your breeding program), uploading and storing photos and documents, and syncing data across your devices.

We also provide push notifications on mobile and email/chat support during business hours.

Service Modifications: We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We’ll try to notify you in advance when practical, but some changes may be made immediately for security or legal reasons.


4. Account Registration and Security

Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you’re under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area).

Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, all activity that occurs under your account, and immediately notifying us at support@dogbreederpro.com if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not share your account credentials with others.

Third-Party Authentication: You may sign in using Apple Sign In or Google Sign In. When you do, we receive basic account information (name and email) from these providers. Apple users may choose to use a private relay email address. Your use of these sign-in methods is also subject to Apple’s and Google’s respective terms.


5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy matters to us. For complete details about how we collect, use, and protect your data, please see our Privacy Policy:

6. Mobile App Terms

These additional terms apply when you use our iOS or Android apps:

Companion Apps: Our mobile apps are companion applications to our web platform. They allow you to register, access, and manage your data on the go but do not offer subscription management or payment processing. These functions are handled through our web platform (see Section 7).

App Store Terms: When you download our apps from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you also agree to the applicable store’s terms. The store provider is not responsible for the Services, and Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms. Contact us (not the store) for support or complaints.

Mobile Permissions: Our apps may request access to your camera (to photograph pets), photo library (to upload photos), and notifications (for reminders and alerts). These are optional — you can manage them in your device settings at any time.

App Updates: We may release updates to improve features, fix bugs, or address security issues. Some updates may be required to continue using the Services.


7. Subscription and Payment

Free Trial: We offer a 30-day free trial. You won’t be charged during this period and can cancel anytime.

Paid Subscriptions: After your trial, you can choose a monthly or annual subscription. As our web platform is the primary application (see Section 3), all subscriptions are managed through the web platform only — not through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely through Stripe, PayPal, and Braintree via our web platform. We never have access to your full credit card information. No payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Authorisation: By selecting a paid plan, you authorise us (through our payment processors) to charge your selected payment method for the subscription fee, renewals, and any applicable taxes.

Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers. The new price applies to your next billing cycle after the notice period.

Taxes: Prices don’t include local taxes (like VAT or sales tax). Depending on your location, additional tax charges may apply at checkout.


8. Cancellation and Refunds

How to Cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time by emailing support@dogbreederpro.com.

After Cancellation: You keep access through the end of your current billing period. Your account and data remain available in case you decide to resubscribe later.

Cancellation vs. Account Deletion: Cancelling your subscription stops future billing but keeps your account and data intact. If you want to permanently delete your account and all associated data, see Section 16 (Account Termination). Account deletion is irreversible and your data will be removed within 90 days.

Refund Policy: We offer a 30-day free trial so you can evaluate the Service before paying. After that, subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, we’ll consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis — email support@dogbreederpro.com within 30 days of the charge.

Consumer Protection: You may be entitled to a refund under consumer protection laws in your region (for example, the EU 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases). If you believe you have a legal right to a refund, please mention this in your request.


9. Your Content and Data

You own your content. You retain all ownership rights to everything you upload, create, or store through the Services — photos, breeding records, pedigrees, health records, contacts, and any other content.

License to Us: By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, process, and back up your content solely to operate the Services. This license ends when you delete your content or close your account.

Your Responsibilities: You represent that you own or have the right to upload all content, that your content doesn’t violate any laws or infringe third-party rights, and that you have the necessary permissions to share information about others (including contacts you store in the Service).

Third-Party Contact Data: When you store personal information about other people in your account (buyers, co-owners, vet contacts, etc.), you are the data controller for that information. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store their data and for informing them as required by applicable law. We process this data on your behalf as a data processor.

For Breeders: You represent that you have the right to share pedigree information, breeding records, and information about animals, including any co-owned animals or animals with documented lineage from other breeders.

Data Backup: You’re responsible for maintaining your own backup copies of important information. While we maintain backups for disaster recovery, we can’t guarantee data recovery in all circumstances.


10. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Services responsibly and legally. You agree NOT to:

  • Share your account credentials or access another user’s account
  • Attempt unauthorised access to our systems, upload malware, or interfere with the Services
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data, or reverse engineer the software
  • Submit false or misleading information, or impersonate others
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Services, or use them to build a competing product
  • Engage in any activity that harms animals, promote puppy/kitten mills or inhumane breeding practices, or facilitate illegal animal trafficking
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Consequences: If you violate these Terms, we may remove content, suspend or terminate your account, report illegal activity to law enforcement, or pursue legal action. We’ll try to provide notice first, but may act immediately if necessary.


11. Fair Usage

Our Services include features that rely on third-party infrastructure with real costs to us, such as AI-powered tools and cloud storage. To keep the Service affordable and available for everyone, we ask that you use these features reasonably.

We don’t currently impose fixed usage limits on features. We’d rather understand how our community uses the Service and adjust based on real-world patterns. However, we reserve the right to introduce usage limits or offer high-usage features as add-ons in the future, with at least 30 days’ notice.

If we notice usage that is significantly outside normal patterns or that affects service quality for others, we may contact you to discuss it, temporarily adjust feature availability for your account, or introduce usage allowances. We’ll make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action.


12. Additional Terms for Breeders

If you use Dog Breeder Pro or Cat Breeder Pro for breeding activities, these additional terms apply:

Accurate Records: You agree to provide truthful pedigree information, maintain accurate breeding and health records, and update records when circumstances change. False information can harm animals, mislead buyers, and expose you to legal liability.

Ethical Standards: You agree to prioritise animal health and welfare, follow recognised breeding standards, provide appropriate veterinary care, screen breeding animals for genetic health issues, and provide accurate information to buyers. We do not support puppy/kitten mills, inhumane breeding operations, or practices that prioritise profit over animal welfare.

Legal Compliance: You agree to comply with all applicable laws regarding animal breeding and welfare, business licensing, health certificates, sales and consumer protection, taxes, and import/export regulations in your jurisdiction.

Service Limitations: We are not responsible for disputes between breeders and buyers, or for the quality, accuracy, or legality of any transactions conducted using the Services. You’re responsible for your own business practices and legal compliance.


13. Intellectual Property

Our Ownership: Dog Breeder Pro B.V. owns all rights in the Services, including software, designs, logos, trademarks, and documentation. “Dog Breeder Pro” and “Cat Breeder Pro” are our trademarks.

Your License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. This license doesn’t permit resale, derivative works, or circumvention of security features, and terminates if you violate these Terms.

Feedback: If you provide us with suggestions or ideas about the Services, we may use them freely without obligation or compensation to you.


14. Third-Party Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites, apps, or services. We’re not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Review their terms before using them.


15. Service Availability

We work hard to keep the Services available, but we can’t guarantee 100% uptime. The Services may be unavailable due to scheduled or emergency maintenance, technical issues, or events beyond our control. We don’t provide a Service Level Agreement (SLA) unless you have a separate enterprise agreement with us.


16. Account Termination

By You: You may close your account at any time through account settings or by emailing support@dogbreederpro.com. Before closing your account, download any data you want to keep — we can’t recover it after deletion.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, use the Services for illegal purposes, or if required by law. We’ll try to give you notice and a chance to fix the issue first, except where immediate action is needed.

Effect of Termination: When your account is closed, you lose access to the Services. We’ll delete your data from active systems within 90 days (see our Privacy Policy for full details). You remain responsible for any outstanding payments and any Terms violations that occurred while your account was active.


17. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

“As Is” Service: The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.

Not Professional Advice: The Services are organisational tools only. They do not provide veterinary advice, professional breeding guidance, legal advice, or financial advice. Always consult licensed professionals for advice specific to your situation. In case of animal health emergencies, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Limited Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the issue, or €100. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, loss of data, or business interruption.

Your Consumer Rights: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights, limits our liability for fraud or willful misconduct, or excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. If you’re an EU consumer, you have rights under EU consumer protection law that cannot be limited by these Terms.


18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dog Breeder Pro B.V. from third-party claims arising from your use of the Services, your content, your violation of these Terms or any law, or your breeding practices and business disputes. This doesn’t apply to claims arising solely from our gross negligence or willful misconduct.


19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we’ll provide reasonable advance notice by email or in-app notification. If you don’t agree with the changes, you can close your account before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.


20. Disputes

Talk to Us First: Before taking legal action, email support@dogbreederpro.com and let’s try to work it out. We’ll do our best to respond promptly.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

Where Cases Are Heard: Business users must bring legal proceedings in the courts of Utrecht, the Netherlands. EU consumers can bring a case in their home country or the Netherlands. UK consumers can bring a case in the courts where they live.

EU Consumer Rights: If we can’t resolve a dispute, EU consumers can use the EU’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/ or complain to their local consumer protection office.

Time Limits: Any legal claim must be filed within one year of the issue arising, except where local law requires a longer period.


21. General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Dog Breeder Pro B.V. regarding the Services.

Severability: If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right doesn’t waive that right.

Assignment: You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Force Majeure: We’re not liable for failures due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or internet outages.

Language: These Terms are prepared in English. In case of conflicts with any translation, the English version prevails.

Notices: We may notify you by email, in-app notification, or website announcement. Notices to us should be sent to support@dogbreederpro.com or by mail to our address above.
